Delivery & Returns

Getting your earrings to you

Every order is made and packed by hand, by me. Here is honestly how your earrings reach you, and what to do if something isn't right.

Where I deliver

I deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only at the moment. If you’re outside the UK and would love a pair, please use the contact form and I’ll let you know if I can help.

Dispatch and delivery

I make and package each order myself, so I normally post orders within 2–3 working days. If a piece is made to order, or there’s going to be a longer wait than usual, I’ll let you know.

I send UK orders by Royal Mail 2nd Class. Delivery is £3.00, and orders usually arrive within 3–8 working days of you placing them. That’s an estimate rather than a guaranteed date — post can be affected by busy periods, weather and postal delays.

The £3.00 charge contributes towards postage and packaging. The actual Royal Mail cost depends on the size and weight of the finished package, and Royal Mail’s own prices can change over time.

If your order hasn’t arrived

If your order hasn’t arrived when you expect it to, please get in touch and I’ll do my best to help. Post does sometimes simply run late, so I usually allow a little extra time before treating a parcel as lost, in line with Royal Mail’s own timescales. Your order is my responsibility until it reaches you.

Damaged parcels

If your parcel arrives damaged, please take a photo of the packaging and the earrings if you can, then contact me through the contact form. I’ll look into it and arrange the appropriate solution, depending on the circumstances and your consumer rights below.

Changing your mind

Because you’re buying online, you have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of the day you (or someone you’ve nominated) receive your earrings. You don’t need to give a reason. Once you’ve told me you’re cancelling, you then have a further 14 days to send the items back.

How to cancel or return

If you need to return an item, please contact me through the website contact form before sending anything back. I’ll provide the return instructions you need, including where to post your parcel so it reaches me safely. Just include your name, order number and what you’d like to return — a clear statement that you’re cancelling is enough, within the 14-day cancellation period. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.

Return postage

If you’re returning something because you’ve changed your mind, you pay the cost of return postage. I’d recommend a service with proof of postage, as the items are your responsibility until they reach me. If an item is faulty, damaged or not as described, I’ll cover the return postage.

Condition of returned items

You’re welcome to handle and examine your earrings as you reasonably could in a shop. If they’ve been handled more than that and their value has been reduced as a result, I may deduct that reduction from your refund. Please return items in their original packaging where you can.

Refunds

I’ll refund to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or of receiving proof that you’ve sent them, whichever is sooner. Where you cancel the whole order, I’ll also refund the standard £3.00 delivery charge you originally paid.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

If something arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, please get in touch with a photograph as soon as you can. You’re entitled to a repair, replacement or refund depending on the circumstances, and I’ll cover the return postage. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply in full.

Handmade variation

Every pair is made by hand, so small differences in shape, pattern and colour are part of the character and aren’t faults. Screen colours can also vary slightly from the real thing. If a piece isn’t what you hoped for, the 14-day cancellation right above still applies.

Personalised or made-to-order items

Items made specifically to your own specification or clearly personalised for you are excluded from the 14-day cancellation right by law. This doesn’t affect your rights if the item is faulty or not as described.

None of this affects your statutory consumer rights.
