About me

This website is run by Lois Young Creative, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, not a limited company. Lois Young Creative is not currently VAT registered. You can reach me through the contact form, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. My business details are at the bottom of this page.

Placing an order

Add the pieces you’d like to your basket and follow the checkout steps. Please check your order before paying. Payment is taken at checkout, which is run securely by Shopify.

When your order is accepted

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when I confirm your order has been accepted or dispatched. If I can’t accept your order — for example a piece has sold out or has been priced incorrectly — I’ll let you know and refund you in full.

Products and handmade variation

Everything is made by hand from polymer clay, so each piece is slightly different. Small variations in shape, pattern, size and colour are part of the character, and photographs and screen colours can differ a little from the item you receive. I describe my products as accurately as I can.

Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and are shown on each product page. As I’m not VAT registered, no VAT is charged. Delivery is added at checkout. If an obvious pricing error appears, I’ll contact you before processing the order.

Availability

My earrings are made in limited quantities and stock is limited. If something becomes unavailable after you order, I’ll contact you and offer an alternative or a full refund.

Delivery

I post UK orders by Royal Mail 2nd Class for a £3.00 delivery charge, and orders usually arrive within 3–8 working days of you placing them. Full details are in my Delivery & Returns page. Delivery dates are estimates, and your order is my responsibility until it reaches you.

Cancellation, returns and refunds

You can cancel most online orders within 14 days of receiving them. Full details, including how to arrange a return and how refunds are paid, are in my Delivery & Returns page.

Faulty or misdescribed goods

If goods are faulty, damaged or not as described, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to a repair, replacement or refund. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. Please get in touch and I’ll put it right.

Care and safe use

My earrings are delicate handmade items. Please keep them away from young children and pets, and stop wearing them if you notice any irritation. Any specific material or care information is given on the product page.

Intellectual property

The designs, photographs, text, branding and layout on this website belong to me. You’re welcome to view and share links to the site, but please don’t copy my designs or images for commercial use without my written permission.

Using this website

Please use the site lawfully and don’t try to disrupt or misuse it. I aim to keep the site available and accurate, but content may occasionally be out of date and the site may be unavailable while I make changes.

My responsibility

I’m responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of me breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. I don’t exclude or limit my liability for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be excluded by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Complaints

If something has gone wrong, please use the contact form and I’ll do my best to sort it out quickly and fairly.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes can be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your own local courts.
